My Story
My business began as a new mom who started making hand painted signs for friends and family in 2016. I did not have a garage or any proper workshop, so I worked at my kitchen counter and in our wet stone basement with 6 feet of clearance.
Things very quickly started to take off, and I moved out to an old tin shed that we had in the corner of our property. With -15 and +35 seasonal temperature extremes in this tiny shed, this was not at all ideal for a woodworking business, especially being pregnant with baby #2. We decided to pursue a large business expansion as I was still struggling to keep up with demand.
In 2018 we began planning a large workshop/ addition to our home. By May of 2019 we had begun our construction, and I moved into my new 1200 square foot attached shop in August 2019!
Starting in 2020 after our third child was born, I began working full-time for myself making handmade home decor, and my husband had taken some time away from work during COVID so that I could continue to keep up with my work load, and he could help care for our family of 5.
As my business continued to grow, I made a shift into the laser cutting and engraving side of things in the fall of 2021. I purchased my first hobby laser, only to upgrade to a commercial size machine 4 months later. We have now moved into the country a few minutes from our previous home to enjoy more space, and I am continuing to expand my business and grow into new and ways each day. It really has been such an amazing adventure!
While it is a ton of work, lots of dust and paint and stain, I feel SO privileged to be able to "go to work" everyday doing what I love to do. So THANK YOU for continuing to allow me to create beautiful pieces for you!
